A few years ago, Carla shared in her previous experience story how, after the amputation of her legs and arm due to dystrophy, she unexpectedly learned to walk again with her prosthetic legs. Since then, she has taken enormous steps – both literally and figuratively. Carla has started running on blades and she talks more about it in the interview. "Running really feels like freedom to me!"

"There was full attention, the prosthesis was immediately properly aligned. They do their very best, take all the time for you and are incredibly nice. After fitting, a gait analysis was also made of my gait. I can only say that so far I have received a very friendly welcome and that efforts are being made to do it right. I think it's a top notch company."

"I’ve now been a prosthesis user for half a century. For many years, I functioned quite well with my prostheses. I am a visual artist and a teacher, I lead an active life, and I have a job that requires me to stand. I’ve also always traveled a lot. However, I often suffered from sores in my groin, but I kept going. I simply want to do things and not always be focused on my prosthesis, which can limit me."
