Activity Day 2026 was a great success!

On Sunday, April 12, the Activity Day took place at the Maarschalkerweerd athletics track in Utrecht. The day was organized by Protec, De Hoogstraat Orthopedietechniek and Rijndam Orthopedietechniek.

On Sunday, April 12, children, young people, and adults with a prosthesis or orthosis came together with family and friends to discover new sports, meet one another, and above all enjoy a fantastic day.

Wheelchair basketball, blade running, gait training, a climbing wall, adapted golf, VR tennis, fitness, frame running, and cycling—there was plenty to try! Paralympic athletes Joël de Jong, Levi Vloet, and Annette Roozen were there to inspire participants and share tips. Associations Korter Maar Krachtig & Ledemaatjes were also present to meet participants and exchange experiences.

Many thanks to all participants, volunteers, family members, and everyone who attended. Together, we made it an unforgettable day!

We are only happy, when you are

"It’s really strange to be able to see everything from a different perspective. I’m at eye level with others again. I can definitely feel it in all my muscles that I’m moving in a different way. The people in the apartment complex where we live were astonished when they saw me walking with crutches down the hallway. And when I first went to see my grandchildren with my prosthesis, my grandson was shocked when I stood at the door."

"It’s all handled in a very helpful and friendly manner. The communication with the prosthetist is excellent. They work in a very customer-friendly and service-oriented way. I am listened to and seen, and they truly act according to what I want and need. We work together to figure out the solution that suits me the best."

"When I entered Protec that first time, I was amazed. I was met at the door by the instrument maker in a very modern building. There was an enormous peace, there was no rush at all, it was friendly and soon felt "own". The conversation was extensive, I was asked about my history and the things I now encounter in functioning with my prosthesis."
