Erwin Stokvis

Director

Since August 2022, I have been able to work for people with reduced mobility as a result of an accident and/or amputation. In addition to managing De Hoogstraat Orthopedics in Utrecht and Rijndam Orthopedics in Rotterdam, I am happy to work for Protec, where our instrument makers and technical employees put their heart and soul into making the best possible aids. Every person is unique and so is the request for help. Customization is therefore of paramount importance to us.

For me, Protec is the place where I can take the time to get to know the customer well in order to make the best possible prosthesis. At the same time, I can learn and use innovative techniques and measuring equipment, which makes it a very pleasant place to work for me, where the customer gets the attention he or she deserves.

I have been training people with a prosthetic leg since 1997. In November 2018, I was able to turn this hobby into my profession at De Hoogstraat Orthopedietechniek. I evaluate the walking technique together with the prosthetist and the client, after which the prosthesis is adjusted where necessary. Walking is one of the most important activities for being socially active and what could be better if you can let people experience the possibilities with a few simple tools.
