Leg prostheses are covered by the basic insurance. For most health insurers, leg prostheses do not fall under the deductible and are usually provided on loan. This means that the prosthesis is not your property, but the property of the prosthetics manufacturer (in this case, Protec). Unfortunately, in many cases, a sports prosthesis is not reimbursed. In such cases, a different procedure must be followed. It is important to know that you play a significant role in the application process.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"394\" data-end=\"637\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">If your insurer does not cover the sports prosthesis, you can either purchase the prosthesis yourself or initiate a process to obtain another form of reimbursement (through WMO, Uniek Sporten or crowdfunding). Some health insurers may partially reimburse cranial remolding helmets with supplementary insurance. Since most people have to pay for the helmets themselves, we believe it is important that you, as a customer, are not faced with unexpected costs. Therefore, we provide a clear explanation of the costs associated with helmet therapy. Additionally, at Protec, no second helmet is needed, as we use two helmets in one device.
